Yoga therapy is person-centered, yoga-based and evidence-informed. The initial session includes intake forms, an interview and assessment. We will co-create a home program and follow-up plan.
The evidence suggests that most health challenges are related to stress and a dysregulated nervous system. The intention is to promote nervous system regulation and resiliency, exploring one's inner healing potential.
Examples of practices are: gentle movement, yoga postures, breath awareness and practices, affirmations, mantras, mudras, mindfulness, meditation, self-study, journaling.
We see lots of practice ideas on social media and in the literature. The personalized sessions I offer provide an opportunity to see which practices work for your unique experience. Although there is research on many practices and they often get generalized, we all have a story that affects how the practices land with us. I am here to support your experience and work WITH you, curating a practice that is meaningful and appropriate for your body, energy, mind and spirit!
Yoga therapy describes a person as multilayered, through the panchamaya kosha model. The "layers" are physical (annamaya), energetic (pranamaya), mental/emotional (manomaya), personality/wisdom (vijnanamaya), bliss/awe/spiritual connection (anandamaya). The word "layer" really simplifies the true meaning. These koshas are interconnected and not separate. We will spend time in sessions discovering this interconnected nature of our being to promote clarity and vitality.

Meet Jayme
Hi! My name is Jayme Nagle.
I am originally from FL, but love living in Bel Air now.
I found yoga many years ago in undergrad at University of Florida and through my mom (also a yoga teacher). It has been an evolution, from physical practice for an hour on a mat to a way of living life. The philosophy and practices of yoga support my mind, body, spirit and connection to others and life. Yoga has been integral in my healing process of living with anxiety, bouts of pain, and other health challenges.
I have been teaching hatha vinyasa yoga since 2017, with experience teaching all ages and abilities. I also have a license in Physical Therapy, which informs my yoga teaching and skills as a yoga therapist. Please read this Profile article I contributed to YogaTherapy.Health.
I have Master of Science in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health. I am a IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist International Association of Yoga Therapists.
I am honored and privileged to be able to share my understanding of this ancient wisdom tradition with the clients I serve. I would like to express gratitude and appreciation for all of my teachers, their teachers and so on. I acknowledge my perspective of yoga is limited by my lived experience and lens of understanding of the philosophy and practices. I will always be a student of yoga. I serve as a guide, each individual will have their own experience, and I am humbled to accompany one on their own unique path.
With so much gratitude,
Jayme

"Jayme does a wonderful job at making you feel comfortable. Her space is a very warm, safe environment, and she is very soft spoken and pleasant. She is a great instructor, and can show yoga novices (like me) how to do the poses and exercises she recommends. She can help with a number of different ailments and issues. I always feel better after our sessions. Thank you, Jayme!"
"I can’t say enough good things about Jayme from Heart Space Yoga Therapy. I did a session with her to help me deal with chronic shoulder and neck pain. She guided me through a series of stretches and exercises that helped relieve the tension and she came up with a customized plan for me to do at home. This has been helping tremendously. Jayme is kind and patient and so knowledgeable about yoga and the mind body connection. I highly recommend her!"

Client testimonials after Yoga Therapy Workshop for Cardiovascular Health:
"Yoga therapy has been amazing. I have learned so much in the cardiovascular workshop. Not only was Jayme informative but she gave us things to apply to our daily life. Being able to leave a workshop and use the tools to reduce my stress has been so good. I look forward to the next set of workshops taught by Jayme."
"I thoroughly enjoyed this introduction into yoga therapy. It was eye opening and I now feel confident that I have tools to lean on when I am feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Jayme had a deep knowledge of yoga and I loved how her workshop dug past the surface and showed us how to show up for ourselves when different emotions take over. I look forward to learning more from Jayme in future workshops."
"Absolutely LOVE Jayme! She is such a warm and caring soul and I immediately felt very comfortable sharing personal areas of struggle with her. She just seems to easily understand the human side of us, that we all struggle in such different ways based on how we were raised, our past traumas and current life stressors, and is truly invested in helping without judgement. She helped me find practices that worked for me, and incorporating them has made such a difference in how I manage my daily stress and reactionary nature."
"I would highly recommend participating in one of Jayme's workshops, which provided an opportunity to explore new yoga practices with a focus on the impact of stress on cardiac health. The workshop was informational, calming and a good mix of practice and discussion. Jayme lead the group in a respectful and welcoming way, which encouraged really helpful discussion amongst the attendees. This is a very important topic and glad that Jayme is sharing her knowledge and personal experience to assist others on their yoga journey."
